This illustration was crafted for an article by Tim Carman, a food reporter for The Washington Post, detailing five essential steps to brewing a better cup of coffee at home. The steps include: buying fresh beans, grinding them at home, using a generous coffee-to-water ratio, filtering water at the correct temperature, and ensuring the correct brewing time.

I began by creating three rough sketches based on these themes. Once a sketch was selected, I developed it into a full-color vector illustration, adhering to The Washington Post's style guide colors.
